Winners! MRS Award for Inclusive Research

We are proud to announce that we are winners for the MRS Award for Inclusive Research – down to our groundbreaking work for the ONS and Inclusive Data Taskforce.

Our work sought to uncover and address the barriers to participation in research among under-represented groups to ensure public policy can be based on more inclusive data. The sensitive approach was reflected both in methodology and in the recommendations made to the Office for National Statistics (ONS). These informed the ONS’ first annual review into the UK statistical system’s progress towards inclusivity, published earlier this year.

Hear from the judges:

“Basis Social’s work encapsulates the spirit of this award. Their careful methodology paid dividends in the quality of insights delivered and will continue to influence research practices well into the future.”
