Basis Social discusses how to close the chasm between evidence and policy in behaviour change for health at the Centre for Science and Policy annual conference

Basis Social’s CEO Dr Darren Bhattachary joined a panel with Professor Dame Theresa Marteau, Director of the Behaviour and Health Research Unit  at the University of Cambridge  and Dr Tim Leunig, Senior Policy Adviser to the Secretary of State at DHSC, to discuss how to close the gap between evidence and policy making in public health.

The session, called Making Britain Well Again, was chaired by Halima Khan and explored perspectives from academia, policy and practice. The fascinating and wide-ranging discussion included insights from our public dialogue work on food systems, and behavioural research on food safety practices.
